JioSaavn Homepage and Search Revamp

JioSaavn is an Indian Music streaming service and a digital distributor of Hindi, English and other regional Music of India around the world.

In a saturated market of music streaming apps, we wanted to differentiate ourselves while retaining user-friendly functionalities. Our design challenge focused on the homepage's discovery section. 

Additionally, we needed to optimize search functionality. User data suggests some searches don't translate to listening. We needed to understand why this happened and create solutions that encouraged users to transition from searching to streaming.

This design approach, focused on differentiating JioSaavn's music discovery experience, was well-received during my interview process for Senior Product Designer and ultimately contributed in securing the role.

Learning

The JioSaavn project allowed me to dive deep into user behavior within the music streaming landscape. To gain insights into user priorities, I conducted user interviews with a group of 12 individuals. Their feedback proved invaluable in shaping the redesign.
